Thank you sincerely for being here. I'm Tim Hansen. I am a UX Product Designer based in Utah. I have 6 amazing children. I have been privileged to work for some of the most remarkable companies, including: Pluralsight, Canopy, and O.C. Tanner. Here’s a little bit about me.
Golf
I enjoy making memories on the golf course. The essence of golf is to be out in nature - to walk, talk, and connect with dear friends and family.
Yes, that’s Wayne Gretzky and me playing golf together. Thank you Breitling for this opportunity to play with “The Great One”!
Photography
For years I had my own photography business specializing in nature, portraiture, and brand photography.
I love to make music with my kids.
My Strengths
I recently read a remarkable book called StrengthsFinder by Tom Rath. This Gallop-based methodology measures the presence of 34 naturally recurring talents, patterns of thought, feeling, or behavior that can be productively applied. Here are my top 5.
1. Empathy - To feel what others are feeling as though the emotions were their own. To intuitively see the world through others’ eyes. Their instinctive ability to understand is powerful. They can hear unvoiced questions and anticipate needs. Where others grapple for words, they seem to find the right things to say and strike the right tone. They are able to build and form relationships that have great emotional depth.
2. Achiever - Intense stamina and work hard, take great satisfaction from being busy and productive.
3. Ideation - Fascinated by ideas. Ability to find connections between seemingly disparate phenomena.
4. Strategic - Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues, including alternate ways to proceed.
5. Adaptability - prefer to "go with the flow." They tend to be "now" people who take things as they come and discover the future one day at a time.
